Pharmaceutical melt extrusion proves to be a hot webinar topic

Pharma Polymers broke all Advanstar records with 1148 pre-registrants and a view rate of 607 (53%), far exceeding the other 12 webinars hosted by Advanstar in 2010. The next highest pre-registration was 670 names and a 40% viewer rate.

The Pharmaceutical Melt Extrusion webinar offered insight from leading industry experts on solid-dispersion technologies used to enhance solubility when formulating poorly soluble drugs. Panelists reviewed how Melt-Extrusion Modeling and Formulation Information System (MEMFIS) is used in lead formulation selection and manufacturing.

Webinar experts included Dr. Navnit H. Shah, Distinguished Research Leader, Hoffmann-La Roche, Inc. in Nutley, NJ and Dr. Firouz Asgarzadeh, Principal Scientist, Evonik Degussa Pharma Polymers in Piscataway, NJ. The webinar was moderated by Dr. Uwe Weidenauer, Director, Strategic Projects, Pharma Polymers, Evonik Röhm GmbH, Darmstadt, Germany.
